 Montre Breitling Classic AVI Chronograph 42 Curtiss Warhawk : Une montre d'aviateur au style rétro, inspirée du légendaire Curtiss P-40 Warhawk.

Des premiers décollages téméraires à l’apparition des vols commerciaux, l’histoire de Breitling est étroitement liée à celle de l’aviation. Dans les années 1930, le département Huit Aviation de Breitling s’est fait connaître en inventant des horloges de précision destinées à une utilisation dans les cockpits. Deux décennies plus tard, la marque a présenté un autre instrument de vol, une nouveauté cette fois-ci à porter au poignet : la Ref. 765 AVI. Cette montre de pilote pionnière a fourni la toile de fond technique de la Classic AVI d’aujourd’hui, une collection inspirée par l’esprit aventurier des premiers avions célèbres. La Classic AVI Curtiss P-40 Warhawk rend hommage à l’une de ces légendes. Conçu comme un chasseur, le Curtiss P-40 Warhawk a volé pour la première fois en 1938 et s’est rapidement imposé comme maître de l’agilité. En plus d’être en mesure d’effectuer des virages stupéfiants lui procurant un avantage non négligeable pendant le vol, sa structure robuste lui permettait également de supporter des conditions météorologiques difficiles, et même de résister à de nombreuses collisions en plein vol. L’art du nez en gueule de requin du Warhawk a scellé sa réputation de rebelle des airs. Cette Classic AVI Curtiss P-40 Warhawk est une véritable montre de pilote, conçue pour résister aux exigences d’un cockpit vintage. Ses grands chiffres arabes offrent une excellente lisibilité sur le cadran et la lunette. La lunette moletée sur son boîtier de 42 mm assure une prise en main optimale, même avec les mains gantées d’un pilote. Les bracelets en cuir de veau surpiqués rappellent les coutures présentes sur les équipements de vol classiques, tandis que le bracelet en acier inoxydable offre une alternative élégante. Les pilotes et autres voyageurs apprécieront sa lisibilité, sa facilité à être portée et son style discret. La Classic AVI est alimentée par un mouvement Calibre Breitling 23 certifié COSC, qui garantit une réserve de marche d’environ 48 heures.
